Tracey Emin made a name for herself over a decade ago, with the epic artwork “Everyone I Have Ever Slept With 1963–1995,” a tent with the names of literally everyone she had every slept with, applied to it’s surface. Now in her fourth New York solo show, Emin continues to create contemplative, at times melancholy, pieces in a variety of media–film, neon, embroidery, drawing and installation to explore recurring themes of love, sex, and lust. The title of the show, Only God Knows I am Good is a reference to David Bowie lyrics, and as Emin elaborates: “Life is complicated sometimes.”
